Reclaimed Teak Only 4
 There is also people who consider reclaimed teak as teakwood that had been old in age. This opinion consider, even the source of the material was not from normal sources such as houses, bridges, etc., can be categorized as ‘kayu lawas’. In this matter include what we call as STW wood (semi-old), which are comes from mass illegal logging in the year of 1997, buried teakwood, or log/beam teakwood being regarded as future savings. In our opinion, the moisture content for that kind of teakwood are still high to be produce as furniture because it has a risk of cracking if we send the goods in extreme climates such as to Europe or Northern America. That kind of teakwood material is not yet being endured to climate changing (rainy and dry season) for some many years. For the color characters that are unique to reclaimed teak, that kind of teakwood, after the material are produce into furniture product, have to wait for some period of time to get the equal color with reclaimed teak color.

Reclaimed Teak Only 3
 We also have our difficulties according to the characteristic of Reclaimed Teak material. The main problem was always about the size of source material which are very limited, teak material to make plank with more than 2 cm depth and 20 cm width are hard to find because the house’s column has a normal size ranging from 12 cm to 18 cm. Any column with 20 cm width or more are categorized as special or extraordinary item and cost us some fortune to buy them in the market. In accordance, the designs of our furniture are also depend on those sizes of teak material. We suited the sizes of teak material which comes from sources like old house (joglo, limasan, empyak, etc.) with our need of furniture components, for example, for the leg 10x10cm of a dinning table we use house’s columns or girder minimal with 12x12cm in size. For the main structure of a cupboard we use rafter (usuk) with the size ranging from 4x6cm to 4x8cm.
